Harlem Brew South, LLC (HBS) is developing a destination taproom, coffee shop, seasonal patio, and outdoor event pad in the heart of Winston‑Salem’s Innovation Quarter, one of the Southeast’s most dynamic districts for entrepreneurship, culture, and urban revitalization. Located in the historic SJ Nissen Building, an 1880s wagon manufacturing facility reimagined for modern innovation, HBS will serve as a cultural anchor connecting craft beverages, heritage storytelling, and live entertainment.

Co-founded by Celeste Beatty — the first African American woman to launch a commercially successful craft beer company in the United States — Harlem Brew South blends craft, community, and culture into a multi‑venue campus designed for locals, students, entrepreneurs, and regional visitors.

The HBS campus includes a 150‑capacity taproom, Depot Coffee Shop, 50‑seat seasonal patio, and a flexible outdoor Event Pad capable of hosting festivals, markets, vendor fairs, and live music. This footprint positions HBS as a premier gathering space within the Innovation Quarter ecosystem, adjacent to Wake Forest University’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship programs, research labs, and residential communities.
